Born in 1968 Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Studied at Cheltenham School of Art (BA) 1989 and the Slade School of Art (MA) 1991.

Richardson has participated in BT New Comtemporaries, 1992 at the Institute of Contemporary Art, London, The Barclays Young Artist Award 1992 at the Serpentine Gallery, London and Acting Out - The Body in Video: Then and Now 1994 at the Royal College of Art, London.

She had her first one person exhibition in 2004 Personified Breath at the Study Gallery of Contemporary Art, Poole, Dorset. Lives and works in Bouremouth.

She is Acting Course Leader on BA Fine Art at the Arts Intitute at Bournemouth.
