The waistcoat is a great layering piece as the seasons change. Bowthorpe is knit from the hem up and seamed, with a corrugated hem, garter stitch bands and stranded colour-work body.
Two shades of yarn are used, a plain colour and a variegated shade to give the acorns all of the Autumnal colour.
I am wearing the original knit which is a size smaller than I would usually wear.
The pattern is available in 9 sizes to fit 28-30" to 60-62" chest.
